[...] Well, I’ve got 5 minutes for another quick post-event note before I return to my self-induced 36-hour coma! So … the question is “what hurts?” … Maybe, it should be “what doesn’t hurt?” If you asked me the question when I got home this morning at 10:00am, I’d tell you the only thing that didn’t [...] Well, we did it! This utter madness is over! None of us can write much right now as we need to pass out for the next 24-36 hours, but many more details and articles will be coming over the next couple of days.

His first attempt in 2004 had to be aborted as [...] As of May 3rd, Oxfam Japan has received over 20 million yen from the 2008 Trailwalkers team sponsors, more than double the figure from 10 days prior. Thats almost 200,000 US dollars or 100,000 UK pounds. Thankyou once more to all contributors for making a difference. Well, here we are … a mere 10 days away from the event and I for one am feeling quite positive. Having done five training hikes was certainly a big gauge and booster for me. They were key in me seeing where I am with my physical conditioning and what combination of gear, food and [...] Please note that the hike metrics … Reza’s Heart Rate & Hike Altitude vs. Time profile … have been added to the bottom of the Training #5 (2-Day Overnight to Kumotori-san) blog. I still enjoy looking at these metrics … especially when I see my heart spending less and less time above the 170bpm range [...] |
